Canada Federal Skilled Worker (Professional) Immigration

Individuals who can demonstrate the ability to successfully integrate into Canada’s society and economy through skilled work can make an expression of interest through the federal express entry system. This provides a path to permanent residence for those with the requisite skills and eligibility criteria for the Federal Skilled Worker program.

These eligibility criteria include the following:

  • In the last ten years, you have gained at least twelve months of continuous experience in a full-time paid position, in a skilled occupation listed at skill level 0, A or B on the National Occupation Classification (NOC)
  • You have received a job offer from an eligible Canadian employer for a full-time permanent position, for which a Labour Market Impact Assessment (LMIA) has been conducted
  • You can demonstrate basic language ability in either English or French
  • You must score a minimum of 67 points on selection factors determined by Immigration, Refugees & Citizenship Canada (IRCC)
